Yet another director from the Selvaraghavan stable is all set to venture out on his own. While Manikandan (Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthen) and Jawahar (Yaardi Nee Mohini) have already established themselves, it now happens to be Rajesh's turn. He has titled his film Pugaipadam and intends to introduce four heroes and three heroines in it.
One of the heroes, Amjad, is associated with Radio One. Of the three leading ladies Priya Anand is an NRI from Canada. Interestingly, noted orator and professor Gnanasambandham dons an important role in this film. Gangai Amaran, after a long gap, has scored the music for this film. He has also penned the lyrics along with Na. Muthu Kumar and director Rajesh. Armstrong will wield the camera. The producer of this venture, C. Manikandan, is a college mate of the director, sources reveal. According to the director, Pugaipadam deals with a real life incident that happened during their college days.
